Basic & Advanced Emergency Skills
The Basic & Advanced Emergency Skills day is a crucial component of the MedSchoolCoach Summer Medical Academy, offering students a comprehensive introduction to emergency medical care. Beginning with foundational skills in Basic Life Support (BLS) and culminating in advanced emergency techniques, this day combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training. Guided by experienced medical professionals, students engage in realistic simulations, honing their skills in a variety of critical medical procedures.

- Freedom Trail Walk: Journey along the 2.5-mile path, visiting 16 historically significant sites like the Old North Church and Bunker Hill Monument.

Timeline
- Applications Open
- Applications open Feb 1st for the Summer 2024 program. Deadline for all application material is March 28th

- MedSchoolCoach will be present in China in March 2023 conducting information sessions and interviews for prospective students

- Applications will be reviewed by a faculty committee with backgrounds from Harvard University, Stanford, Columbia, UC Berkeley and Boston University. Applications will be evaluated for

- $15,000 USD inclusive of all room, board, activities and instruction. Also includes Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation.

Frequently Asked Questions
The program is intended for high-performing high school and college students who are interested in exploring a career in medicine, biotechnology or other health care field.
- Deposit (due April 15): $1,500 (10% of program cost).
- Total Tuition (balance due June 1): $15,000.
- Tuition covers room & board, in-country travel, logistics, medical equipment, cultural experiences, and certification costs.
All in-country accommodations, including lodging at hotels, meals and cultural experiences are included in the program fee and will be arranged by the team. Travel to and from each experience is also included.
Students will stay in selected hotels known for comfort and safety, such as the Marriott or Hilton, ensuring a pleasant and secure environment throughout the program.
The program includes diverse meal options catering to different dietary preferences and requirements. Students can expect a mix of American and international cuisines, providing a well-rounded culinary experience.

Students who participate in the program will receive both a certificate of completion, as well as a letter of recommendation from the faculty which can be utilized for future applications.
